Out of stock banner on Flipkart.com's Moto G page |
Even rival online retailer Snapdeal also received
1000 pre orders of Moto G on Saturday within just two hours, but it turns out that
Motorola hasn’t provided any Moto G stocks to Snapdeal, and the
sales will be only from Flipkart for quite some time. But significance of this
pre orders mean the huge demand of this Smartphone in India.
Moto
G is offering features that can’t even be offered by
local small Smartphone manufacturer at this price, so Moto G is evidently a
winner in India at this moment, until local companies either start to sell
their Smartphones at lower price or new attractive Smartphone at the same or
lower price range with Moto G.
Though it is unclear how many Moto G sold today and
when will Flipkart get stocks again but various social media chit-chats indicate
the 16 GB model is most demanded at this moment. It should be mentioned again
that Moto
G doesn’t offer SD storage expansion, so you need to be cautious when choosing
the basic 8 GB model.
Also, the Moto G will ship with Android 4.3,
but Motorola has confirmed that they will provide Android 4.4 update in just a
few days, and as Moto G isn’t customized too much by Motorola it will feel like
a stock Nexus device. This adds a huge advantage in Moto G with already great
selling price and as a dual sim version it is more appealing to buyers in
India.
Samsung and local manufacturer Micromax holds the
lion share in Indian Smartphone industry, so Motorola needs to play smart to
make a dent in this market after long 2 years of remaining away from India, and
we hope Moto G will help Motorola to regain their position in India and
offer us quality Smartphones like Moto G.
So, guys did you get a chance to buy one? Please let
us know, and whenever Flipkart again gets the Moto G stocks I will
surely notify you, So, keep visiting my blog and keep a clean Tech Aspect. Have
a good day Friends.
