HTC Desire 816 got a bigger screen, higher res display, faster processor clock speed, more RAM, More storage support (128 GB SD card support vs. 32 GB SD card support on Sony Xperia M2 Dual), powerful camera (both rear camera and front camera) and larger battery and newer version of Android.

HTC Desire 816 is priced just Rs. 2000 more than Sony Xperia M2 Dual and I forgot to mention Sony Xperia M2 Dual is a dual SIM Smartphone. So, unless you must need a dual SIM Smartphone and can’t afford the extra Rs. 2000 (and off course if you are a Sony fan), then go for Sony Xperia M2 Dual.
