Samsung has launched the octa core variant of Galaxy S5 back in April, the flagship Samsung Smartphone lacks LTE even though Airtel has already started 4G TDD-LTE connection in India and you can access it from iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C.
So, obviously many got dis-heartened when Samsung didn't launch any LTE smartphones in India, but it seems things are soon going to be changed here. No, Samsung won't be launching any new Smartphone in India rather it will be selling the midrange Galaxy S4 with LTE support soon (maybe).
According to a shipment record found in India's import export record holder website Zauba, Samsung has imported 500 units of Samsung GT-I9197 and GT-I9197ZKAOPS (model no of Samsung Galaxy S4 mini LTE), and it supports the TDD-LTE bands which Airtel offers.
So, judging by the numbers of device imported, Samsung maybe testing them for the LTE connection and if the test results get green signal, then Samsung will be selling the Smartphone soon.
Currently the 3G variant of Samsung Galaxy S4 mini (3G variant) costs Rs. 16,800 and the listings shows the new 4G models is imported at the rate of Rs. 17,760 per unit. So, Samsung may sell the Smartphone under 20K.
