Sony has announced company’s latest flagship
Smartphone, the Sony Xperia Z2a in Taiwan. The latest Sony flagship sports
5-inch Full HD (1080x1920 p) TRILUMIONS display with X-Reality engine.
The Smartphone is powered by 2.3 GHz quad core
Snapdragon 801 processor along with Adreno 330 GPU and comes out with 3 GB of
RAM, 16 GB internal memory which is further expandable up to 128 GB with
microSD card.
Sony packs the same 20.7 MP camera with 1/2.3”-inch
Sony Exmor RS image sensor like Sony Xperia Z2, the Z2a also supports 4K video
recording and comes with 3.1 MP front shooter with BSI sensor.
The Sony Xperia Z2a runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat out
of the box and comes with IP55/IP58 ratings for dust and water resistance, the
Smartphone is bit thick at 10.8 mm compared to Xperia Z2 (8.2 mm) and weighs
167 grams.
The Smartpone comes with 4G LTE support along with
Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS with A-GPS GLONASS, MHL 3.0, NFC, 3.5 mm
audio jack and packs a large 3000 mAh battery.
The Smartphone will go on to sale next month in
Taiwan thought pricing details will be uncovered at a close date before the
official launch. Few days ago Sony also unveiled the Sony Xperia T3 with 4G LTE
support.
