Google has officially confirmed and globally rolled out the new feature Android Messages for the web. Now all the android users can see the old messages, RCS (Rich Communication Service) and can also send SMS, RCS from PC easily. This new update is not limited to Text only, users can also send Pictures and Stickers on the Web version. For security, if a user doesn’t use the Android Messages for the web for 14 days at a stretch, that user's account will automatically be signed out. The user will need to re-sign in which is very good for people who are strict towards security.
Justin Uberti, Creator/ Lead Engineer of Google Duo, said on Twitter,
Android Messages for Web is now fully deployed - make sure you have the latest Messages client, and then head over to Android Messages for Web to try it out
Google Allo, providing all the service like Google Android Messages failed to be popular to mainstream social media users and Google stopped their efforts on Allo, Instead Google has started the same service on Android Messages which is Google’s preinstalled app on every stock Android smartphone. It will help Google a step ahead to achieve success.
It seems that Google Android Messages can be the competitor of WhatsApp, iMessage, Instagram and Facebook as both all are available in the web version. Google Android Messages the first major step for great chatting experience which is made by Google.
Steps for getting this feature:
1. All you need to update the Android Messages(3.3.044) to the latest version.
2. Open the Android Messages on Web & you will get a QR code.
3. Open the Android Messages app on your smartphone → Tap the 3 dot menu on the upper right side → Tap on massages for the web.
4. Scan the QR code and done.
5. Make sure you are connected to the internet.
