Micromax
launched yet another Smartphone on their Canvas series, the Canvas
Power (A96). Canvas Power is now available for
purchase in India. The Smartphone can be bought from the official online
Micromax store for Rs. 9900, and the Smartphone will be delivered to your
doorstep with 7 to 10 business days.
The USP of Canvas
Power is its huge battery rated 4000mAh, and with this Micromax aims to
threat Lenovo P780 that was launched in June 2013 (That too possesses 4000mAh
battery, and created a huge buzz in tech world) and is available for 17,300
currently.
According to
the Official listing, the 4000mAh battery of Canvas Power delivers up
to 5.5 hours of talk time and up to 450 hours of standby time. Though neither
the talk time nor the standby time of Canvas Power come close to Lenovo
P780 (Talk time : 43 h in 2G and 25 hours in 3G, Standby: 840 hours).
Anyway, Canvas
Power is a dual SIM (GSM+GSM) Smartphone and runs on way older Android
4.1 Jelly Bean. It sports 5-inch FWVGA (480x854p) TFT touch screen display and
is powered by 1.3 GHz Quad core MediaTek 6582M processor with 512 MB of RAM.
Though Canvas
Power features 4 GB internal memory but only 1.14 GB of Memory is user
available that can be further expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. The Canvas
Power is equipped with a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3 MP
front facing camera to capture photos.
Connectivity
options are pretty basic on Canvas Power with 3G, Wi-Fi, micro
USB, GPS and Bluetooth on board. Micromax has provided some preloaded apps and
games in Canvas Power such as Opera, Hike, Kingsoft Office, M! Live,
Bubble X slice and Catch a mouse.
Now, it is
to be seen if Micromax Canvas Power can pose a threat
Lenovo P 780 and to the hugely popular Motorola Moto G.
