Tegra 4 powered Xolo Play Tegra Note "World's fastest tablet" launched in India at Rs 17,999

Popular Android phone manufacturer Xolo officially launched their first NVIDIA Tegra 4 powered tablet in India. The Xolo Play Tegra Note is a Wi-fi only 7-inch Tablet and runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. But the good news is NVIDIA will deliver Android 4.3 as well as Android 4.4 KitKat update Over-the-air soon.


This tablet comes with 7-inch HD IPS LCD(1280x800p) display and is powered by a 1.8GHz Tegra 4 processor with a 72 core GeForce GPU and quad-core Cortex A15 CPU. There is 1 GB RAM(2 GB RAM would have been better) along with 16GB internal memory available. That can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card. The tablet measures 199x119x9.6mm and weighs 320 grams.

Xolo claims Xolo Play Tegra Note is the “World's fastest tablet" and that is indeed true if synthetic benchmarks are concerned. This tablet beats other tablets easily, and the performance is on par with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset, even on some cases exceeded the benchmarks of some Snapdragon 800 powered Smartphones.

This tablet sports a 5 MP rear camera with HDR as well as a VGA front facing camera. It also provides front facing stereo speakers with a 'Bass-reflex port'.
Connectivity options available on this tablet includes Wi-fi, Wi-fi Hotspot, WLAN, Bluetooth 4.0, micro HDMI and USB 2.0. The battery is rated 15.17wH or 4100 mAh, according to the company the battery can produce juice that will allow users to 8.2 hours of Internet Surfing over Wi-fi and upto 10
hours of HD videos playback.

Other features include Direct Stylus technology for the bundled stylus, NVIDIA pure Audio technology, Smug-mug camera app and the famous NVIDIA Tegra Zone that provides access to Tegra optimized games and apps.

Xolo has also released a slider cover for the Xolo Play Tegra Note, priced at 2499. Direct stylus pro pack that will enable a variety of writing styles as well as interchangeable tips. Though the price of the later isn't known yet.

So, the last thing to know is the price. And as You all know Xolo offers great products at lower price point, the trend hasn't changed if the features are concerned.
