Micromax one of the local Indian Smartphone manufacturer
couple of months ago launched Micromax Canvas Blaze with CDMA+GSM SIM support. But the Smartphone supports
only CDMA SIM from MTS. The Smartphone got good response from customers, but
many wanted to use other CDMA SIMs other than MTS.
So, to fulfill the demand Micromax is going to launch Micromax
Canvas Duet II with CDMA+GSM SIM support, but unlike Canvas Blaze, it supports
all CDMA SIMs including Tata Indicom CDMA, Relience CDMA, Virgin, MTNL, BSNL and
MTS etc.
Manish Khatri from Mahesh Telecom said, the Smartphone will
cost 15,790 and will be available for purchase within couple of days. An
unofficial Micromax Canvas blog leaked its retail box, from which the following
specifications have been known:
5.27-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) touch screen IPS display
Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean)
Dual SIM (CDMA + GSM)
3G (EVDO), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS
1.2 GHz quad-core processor
8MP rear AF camera with LED Flash, capable of shooting 720p
videos
2MP front-facing camera
3.5mm audio jack
1GB RAM, 4GB internal memory, expandable memory up to 32GB
2300 mAh battery
It remains unknown which processor will be used in this Smartphone
and also it is not expected to see this Smartphone shipping with older Android
4.1 whereas Xolo Q1100 and Moto G provides Quad core Snapdragon 400 processor along
with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean under 15000.
