Micromax one of the local Indian Smartphone manufacturer couple of months ago launched Micromax Canvas Blaze with CDMA+GSM SIM support. But the Smartphone supports only CDMA SIM from MTS. The Smartphone got good response from customers, but many wanted to use other CDMA SIMs other than MTS.

So, to fulfill the demand Micromax is going to launch Micromax Canvas Duet II with CDMA+GSM SIM support, but unlike Canvas Blaze, it supports all CDMA SIMs including Tata Indicom CDMA, Relience CDMA, Virgin, MTNL, BSNL and MTS etc.

Manish Khatri from Mahesh Telecom said, the Smartphone will cost 15,790 and will be available for purchase within couple of days. An unofficial Micromax Canvas blog leaked its retail box, from which the following specifications have been known:

5.27-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) touch screen IPS display

Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean)

Dual SIM (CDMA + GSM)

3G (EVDO), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS

1.2 GHz quad-core processor

8MP rear AF camera with LED Flash, capable of shooting 720p videos

2MP front-facing camera

3.5mm audio jack

1GB RAM, 4GB internal memory, expandable memory up to 32GB

2300 mAh battery

It remains unknown which processor will be used in this Smartphone and also it is not expected to see this Smartphone shipping with older Android 4.1 whereas Xolo Q1100 and Moto G provides Quad core Snapdragon 400 processor along with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean under 15000.
