The Gionee Pioneer P3 is one of the best selling
budget Android Smartphone in India, and Gionee has launched the successor of
P3, the Gionee Pioneer P4. The Pioneer series is meant for the low budget
Smartphone category so you can’t expect high end specs.
The Pioneer P4 sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480x854p)
display, and is powered by a quad core MediaTek MT6582 processor clocked at 1.3
GHz. The Smartphone runs on way older Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and you
shouldn’t hope for any sort of update for it.
The Gionee Pioneer P4 rocks a 5 MP Auto Focus rear
camera with LED flash, the camera is capable of recording HD videos at 30
frames per second, and there is a 2 MP front facing camera for video calls and
self portraits.
Like most of the budget Android Smartphones the
Gionee Pioneer P4 also sports dual SIM with dual stand-by. The Pioneer P4, has
1 GB of RAM along with 8 Gigs of internal storage, unlike its predecessor,
which has 512 MB RAM, and paltry 4 GB internal memory, obviously there is
expandable memory support present up to 32 GB via microSD card.
Connectivity aside it packs basic things including 3G,
Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, FM Radio. The Gionee Pioneer P4 has a 1800 mAh Li-Po battery
unit that is said to delivering Talk time of 16.5 hours on 2G, 11 hours on 3G
and stand-by time of 386 hours.
