Taiwanese budget SoC maker MediaTek has announced
their latest chipset for the mid range tablet market, the MediaTek MT8127. The
MT8127 SoC four (Quad core) Cortex A7 based processors all clocked at 1.5 GHz
along with quad core Mali 450 MP4 GPU.
The SoC will be offering full hardware
support for the latest HEVC (H.265) video playback standard, the SoC will be
undoubtedly pocket friendly yet will offer class leading performance with low
power consumption.
The SoC will come with connectivity
options such as Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi, FM receiver and GPS while it will
support up to 13 MP rear camera, Full HD video recording and playback and a
Full HD 1200x1920 LCD display combined with MediaTek MiraVision tech.
The MiriVision tech provides excellent image
quality as can be seen on a Digital TV, and the SoC will also support Wi-Fi
certified Miracast and NFC, making enough options for content sharing without a
hassle.

The latest MediaTek MT8127 SoC will be
seen on action first on a Alcatel branded OneTouch Pixi 8 tablet, which would
be launced later this year,
