Idea Cellular which is known for their cellular services across the India, has launched Idea !d 4000, an entry level Android Smartphone with 3G connectivity. The Smartphone features a 3.5-inch HVGA (320x480 p) display with 165 ppi density.


The !d 4000 is powered by 1 GHz dual core processor and comes with 512 MB of RAM coupled with 4 GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 32 GB with microSD card.

The Smartphone runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box and features dual SIM connectivity with dual Stand-by. The !d 4000 is equipped with 3.2 MP rear camera and lacks LED flash as well as front camera.

Commenting on the launch, Sashi Shankar, Chief Marketing Officer, Idea Cellular, said,


Our strategy of proliferating data services through the sale of affordable 3G smartphones has worked well for us, and hence we will continue to build on our devices portfolio. A large base of Indian consumers want affordable, yet, feature rich smartphones to experience 3G and mobile internet. !d 4000 will address this demand in the market and enable 2G users to upgrade to 3G in our key 3G markets.


The Idea !d 4000 would be available in Black color option and is priced at Rs. 4999 and it is available across 11 circles, the !d 4000 comes with bundled 3G data from Idea of 1.6 GB along with Idea TV subscription for 3 months, with a Rs. 259 pack for existing users of the ooperator and the same data offers for Rs. 261 for new subscribers.
