Nokia X2 official
Nokia’s first generation of Android Smartphoneline-up was somewhat promising, and that led Nokia (read Microsoft) to launch the updated version of Nokia X. The new Nokia X2 previously appeared few weeks ago in AnTuTu benchmarks, and now the Smartphone is officially announced.


So, what are the new improvements? The Nokia X2 now runs on somewhat newer AOSP build of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, which has been named as Nokia X software platform 2.0 and comes with a physical home button now, compared to only back button on Nokia X.

The Nokia X2 sports a 4.3-inch WVGA (480x800 p) IPS ClearBlack display with scratch resistant glass and is powered by 1.2 GHz dual core Snapdragon 200 processor with Adreno 302 GPU and features dual SIM connectivity.

The Smartphone packs 1 GB of RAM with 4 GB of internal memory that is expandable up to 32 GB with microSD card and is equipped with a 5 MP rear camera unit with LED flash and there is now a front camera too, the rear camera can shoot HD videos.

Connectivity options in Nokia X2 are 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS with GLONASS, FM Radio, 3.5 mm Audio Jack, microUSB, Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP and packs a 1800 mAh Li-ion battery which can deliver up to 552 hours of stand-by times along with 13 hours of talk time.

The new Nokia X2 dual SIM would be available in Glossy Green, Black, Glossy Yellow, White and Matte dark Grey colours and would cost you 99 euros (~ Rs. 8090) before tax and subsidies.

Thanks for dropping a comment, actually Android AOSP (Android Open Source Project) is a open source OS, so anyone can edit the OS and use it with his/her/their own name, that's exactly what Nokia (Microsoft) doing, they are counting on the apps but using their own services, such as Here Maps, Bing search, Nokia Mail, AppToid etc - in place of google apps. So it's Android but at the same time Windroid (Windows Phone + Android) :-)
