The latest Samsung Tab 4 series of
Android Tablet range are now officially listed on Samsung’s official India
eStore. The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 and Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 are currently listed on the

Both the Tablets are powered by same 1.2
GHz quad core processor along with Android Kitkat with TouchWhiz UX on top, a
SIM card slot and 3 MP + 1.2 MP rear and front camera unit.
Though both the tablet features same
WXGA (1280x800 p) resolution, the ppi density varies as the Tab 4 8.0 has
8-inch display resulting in 189 ppi density and Tab 4 10.1 has 10-inch display resulting
in very low 149 pixels per inch.
Both Tab 4 8.0 and Tab 4 10.1 comes with
1.5 GB of RAM along with 16 GB of internal memory variants which is further
expandable up to 64 GB with microSD card. Connectivity option includes 3G
HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi direct, GPS with GLONASS.
Samsung has packed a 4450 mAh non-removable
Li-Po battery in Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 and a 6800 mAh non-removable Li-Po battery in
Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, both the tablet would be available in Black and White colors
and have faux leather back finish.
If rumor and reports are to be believed Samsung
is going to unveil new ‘Tab S’ range of Galaxy Tablets with Fingerprint sensor
this 12th June, so I think it is not a good move from Samsung to
launch this tablets at this late time, unless they launch the newer tablets 1
year later.
The stocks are currently empty but
expect to be soon on sale for Rs. 23,960 for the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 and Rs. 30,498
for the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, which in my opinion way too high and within few days
of launch Samsung will be lowering the price a little by little and would be
offering buy back, cash back offers.
