After Opera and UC browser now it’s time for Google
to introduce data consumption in their popular browser Google Chrome. Wednesday
Google announced they will update Google Chrome that would enable users to save
data savings up to 50%. The update will be rolled out to both iOS and Android.
A recent survey from Pew shows about 20% of U.S. adults
surfs internet with their Smartphones, but the problem is when users aren’t
connected to a Wi-Fi network. If you use 3G/4G network you may not even realize
when you have overcome the monthly data allowance.
And the latest update will also protect you from
malicious websites via Chrome’s Safe Browsing as well as data savings. Once you
update the chrome on your Android or iOS Smartphone, open chrome then navigate
to Settings > Bandwidth Management > Reduce Data Usage, turn this toggle
on and you’ve started to save your precious data. Also this menu let you see
how much bandwidth you’ve saved every months using Chrome.
Google also announced it is going to brought Google
Translate on iOS version of Chrome that will be handy if you’re visiting a foreign
language filled website from your iPhone or iPad and last but not the least the future update for chrome
for Android will let users add favorite websites and blogs to home screen. Yes you read it right, you will be able to add
any website you want as a shortcut by heading to toolbars and selecting “Add to
Home screen”.
