Popular Chinese PC maker Lenovo has
announced it will soon start to roll out Android 4.4 Kitkat update for both
their high end Vibe X and Vibe Z Smartphones this month, actually from the last
week of May in India.
The Vibe X which was launched in India
with Android 4.2 for Rs. 25,999 also gets a price cut and is available for Rs. 22,999;
While Vibe Z was launched with Android 4.3 out of the box.
According to Lenovo, The Kitkat update
is going to boost the hardware performance further and will sport improved
multi-tasking.
The Android Kitkat update on both the handset
would bring more stability, better app compatibility as well as security
enhancements and common bug fixes, also the Kitkat update will bring a brand
new call screen UI for better incoming call interface.
There is more to it, the camera will be
awarded better Auto Focus and white balance and better Lenovo Power manager
which lets the battery to last more (15 – 20% enhancement in its performance).
The Kitkat update on Vibe Z would bring
support for 4K video playback, better processing power and multisensory User
experience, better Multi Window mode that lets usage of multiple apps simultaneously,
enhanced notification access, wireless printing, updated theme centre,
automatic profile changer and more.
The update would start rolling out in
both the Smartphones in phased manner starting from the last week of May 2014.
