Motorola Moto E with 4.3-inch qHD screen, Snapdragon processor and Android 4.4.2 launched for only Rs. 6,999

As reported earlier, Motorola has launched the latest Moto E, budget Android Smartphone in India for a price that you can’t even imagine. The latest Moto E features a qHD (540x960 pixels) IPS display with 256 ppi density protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

The phone measures 124.8x64.8x12.3 mm, so not the amazing 6.2 mm slimness has come to reality. But the Moto E is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor clocked @1.2 GHz with Adreno 302 GPU.

The Smartphone comes with 1 GB RAM and a low 4 GB of internal storage, but the good news is the internal memory is upgradable up to 32 GB via microSD card. The Smartphone also runs on latest Android 4.4.2 Kitkat.

Moto E sports a single 5 MP Auto Focus rear camera that can shoot FWVGA (480x854 p) videos @30 fps, the Smartphone doesn’t have any front camera obviously to keep the cost down.

The Smartphone features Dual SIM with Dual Stand-by and has 3G HSPA+ (HSDPA: 21 Mbps, HSUPA: 5.76 Mbps) connectivity, Bluetooth v4.0 LE (low energy), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, microUSB v2.0, FM Radio and 3.5 mm Audio Jack.

The Moto E packs a Li-ion 1980 mAh battery unit, that should provide impressive performance as the screen is lower res and smaller.

As expected, Motorola has partnered with Flipkart once again to launch the Moto E exclusively in India. And as usual Flipkart has announced special offers on Moto E buys, including 50% off on Moto E cover, 50% off on Transend memory cards and free eBooks worth Rs. 1000.

The Motorola Moto E will be available in White and Black colors and is priced at only Rs. 6,999. Moto E will be go on sale starting tonight from this link on Flipkart and would also be available with optional back covers and grip shells.
