The Indian budget Smartphone market is
one of the most crowded places you’ll find anywhere. Every day you will find
newer Smartphones getting launched by local Smartphone manufacturers.
The latest addition to this segment is
the Spice Stellar 509 (Mi-509), Spice’s latest Smartphone to compete with Moto E
and other budget Smartphones. The Smartphone features a 5-inch FWVGA (480x854
p) display with 196 ppi density.
The latest Spice Smartphone is powered by
a 1.3 GHz quad core processor (unknown chipset at this time), the Smartphone runs
on disappointing Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. The Smartphone comes
with 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB internal memory that is upgradable up to 32 GB via
microSD card.
The Camera in the Spice Stellar 509 is a
8 MP unit with Auto Focus and LED flash and there is a 2 MP front camera as
well. The Smartphone supports dual SIM (GSM + GSM) connectivity with dual
stand-by.
On the connectivity font, it packs 3G
HSPA+ (HSDPA: 21 Mbps, HSUPA: 5.76 Mbps), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS
with A-GPS, 3.5 mm Audio Jack, FM Radio and comes with pre-loaded apps such as
Spice Cloud, Opera Mini, OLX, GetIt, Greetzap etc and packs a 2000 mAh battery.
