For many days Samsung has been working
hard on their own Tizen OS to rival Android and iOS. And now the company
finally launched the first Smartphone with Tizen OS on-board. The Samsung Z with
Tizen 2.2.1 OS version will be initially launched in Russia starting Q3 this
year.
Samsung has announced it will offer
additional apps for Samsung Z along with new Tizen devices via Tizen Store and
the company is trying to attach more developers to code apps for the Tizen OS,
and the South Korean Giant even announced a special promotional program for
devs which will last one whole year.
Specs wise, the Smartphone packs solid
hardware including a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display with 306 ppi pixel
density and it powered by 2.3 GHz quad core processor, most probably Snapdragon
800 processor.
The Samsung Z features 2 GB of RAM along
with 16 GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 64 GB with microSD
card. The Tizen Smartphone is equipped with 8 MP AF rear camera with LED flash
and BSI sensor capable of shooting Full HD videos and a 2.1 MP front facing camera.
The single SIM Smartphone boosts wide
range of connectivity options including 3G HSPA+ with 4G LTE, Bluetooth v4.0,
Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, microUSB v2.0, NFC, GPS with GLONASS, Infrared, and packs
a 2600 mAh battery.
The Smartphone also sports the
Fingerprint ID on the Home button along with a heart rate monitor on the back
and S health 3.0 app just like Samsung Galaxy S5, the Samsung Z will be
available on Black and Gold color variants.

Unfortunately Samsung hasn’t disclosed
the price of the Smartphone but it can be expected to be announced in the
coming days very soon, the Samsung Z will be showcased first at the Tizen
Developer Conference on June 3 in San Francisco.
