Intex Technologies, popular for making
good value for money Smartphones, has launched yet another solid Smartphone in
India. The latest addition to the already crowded budget Android Smartphone market
is the Intex Aqua i5 HD.
The Intex Aqua i5 HD as you can guess from
the name sports a 5-inch HD (720x1280p) display based on OGS (One Glass
Solution) tech resulting in a good pixel density of 293 ppi. The Smartphone runs
on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box but Intex has promised to roll out
Android 4.4.2 Kitkat update for this one.
The Intex Aqua i5 HD is powered by quad
core MediaTek MT6582 processor clocked @1.3 GHz along with a Mali 400 GPU. The Smartphone
features 1 GB of RAM along with 4 GB of internal storage that is further
expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card. Intex is also offering an additional 5
GB of cloud storage from Intex Cloud.
The camera is the main highlight of this
Smartphone. It is equipped with a 13 MP Auto Focus rear camera with LED flash;
the camera is capable of shooting Full HD 1080p videos @30 fps and there is 5
MP front camera unit present too, so expect very high res shelfies.
Off-course it comes with Dual SIM
connectivity (GSM + GSM), and other connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi
802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP, GPS with A-GPS, 3.5 mm Audio Jack and
FM Radio.
The Smartphone comes in black and white
color options and packs a 2000 mAh Li-ion battery. The Smartphone is priced
very competitively at Rs. 9990 and it would be available from 40000+ resellers
along with various online retailers across India.
The company claims, it has sold over
11.5 million handsets last year, out of which 1.5 million handsets were
Smartphones, and the company is planning to launch 8 more Aqua series
Smartphones during the next quarter.
